Steven G. Trast, CPA, CSRP
Steven Trast has operated an independent accounting practice since September 2001. Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1990, he has worked in a public accounting environment since 1987. His emphasis has been in the field of taxation and he has wide experience in preparing returns for individuals, small business of all types, estates and not-for profits. He is also a Certified Specialist in Retirement Planning (CSRP).
Prior to working in public accounting, Steven served as an assistant controller in the private sector. This experience gives him a unique perspective of what goes in to running a business and results in a compassion that many of his business (and personal) clients have found most rewarding.
Steve grew up in Ulster County and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pace University. He is a member of the Lions Club of Kingston and the National Society of Accountants. Steve can frequently be found at smaller music venues enjoying independent artists. Live theater, well written movies, physical fitness and, unapologetically, the Mets round out his leisure interests. His wife Donna is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and he has two adult daughters of whom he is extremely proud.
